The Philosophy Driving This Blog

Leveraging years of experience to make you a more knowledgeable and well protected driver.

As a liability adjuster, my job was to talk to people who had very bad days.  Some had a fender bender on the way home from work.  Some went out for groceries and ended up in the hospital.  None of them expected to be in an accident.

I learned that most people don’t know how insurance really works after an accident.  I fielded many of the same questions day after day.  I also saw that not all insurance adjusters are great at explaining the processes involved in a claim, and the reasoning behind them.  I also saw that all adjusters, even the great ones, are overworked and short on time, which may limit the amount of explanation they can give.

My intent with Adjust Your Drive is to give you a peek behind the curtain: how insurance goes about handling your claim, why an adjuster makes their decisions, and how you can make the whole process easier on yourself.

I also want to share my accumulated knowledge on how accidents happen, why they happen, and how you can adjuster your habits to become a safer driver, and avoid talking to an adjuster like me altogether.
